RF Parts has acquired a large quantity of new Celwave assemblies. Each consists of a 4-port Combiner, 300 watt Dummy Load, and 17” x 5¼” Rack Panel with 15” x 9” tray.
We believe these units were used to combine two amplifiers to a common antenna. However, it would seem possible to split an antenna between transmitter and receiver with some additional filtering.
Each panel is supplied with test data. Examination of typical data showed insertion losses of 3.1 dB (spec 3.25 dB), 22 dB return loss at amplifier inputs, and >23 dB at antenna port (spec 18 dB). Isolation between input 1 & input 2 on the unit examined was > 30 dB (spec 18 dB). We ran a return loss / VSWR test on the dummy load, which shows VSWR readings of:
